We had another fun & busy weekend this week! We went the Historical Nurburing Rally on Saturday. Our friends gave us direct access to the paddocks & pit row. One of the media guys on the team loaned me his pass to get even closer for photos. This race is more for bragging rights than anything else. Drivers pay car-owners up to 6000euro to use their historic cars. Anything from Jaguars to Corvettes. Pretty cool! Sunday we went with another group of friends to the Wasserski Lake in Duisburg. The German version of waterskiing is a little unusual to say the least!! There's no boat involved - just a pulley system. We thought it would be fun for the kids, but it turned out to be a little more intense than a 6-8 year can handle. They had fun splashing on the beach instead! The water is quite chilly so we all rented wetsuits. Yeah, not really a pretty sight - notice you don't see any photos of me!! I did actually attempt to ski, but I quickly remembered it's been almost 15 years since I was up on waterskis. I'm not sure what was more funny...me in a wetsuit or me in a wetsuit drinking 8 gallons of lake water!! I can say that waterskiing is not like riding a bike - you do forget how! Guess I'll have to sneak off & practice on my own so I can keep up next time!! Enjoy the pics!
