Emma & Ross dressed up for Halloween. We enjoyed a carnival hosted by the American Womens Club at the school. Lots of fun for the kids. They really enjoyed the haunted house - even though Ross screamed like a little girl the whole time!

The Germans celebrate St. Martin's Day this Thursday. The kids have been busy making lanterns in school to use during the parade. It's German tradition that children are lead by "Saint Martin" riding horseback & wearing his famous coat. They parade through the streets carrying paper lanterns lit by real candles (we opted for battery powered lights!) while they sing German songs about "treats". Or something like that! I'll post those pics after Thursday. It's supposed to be cold & rainy - can't wait to see what happens to the paper lanterns!!

I finally figured out your blog name. Couldn't get Mark to help with that. I am so happy that you guys are having so much fun. You give me courage for the time when we may have to come there. I agree with the Paris comments. I was in love the first time the second time I had seen enough for a while. Keep posting. I'm gonna keep reading (now that I know where to look!)
