I honestly can't believe I haven't posted anything in over 2 months -- sorry! It's been wildly crazy around here. We had a wonderful vacation planned for Easter Break. We were heading to the Austrian Alps for several days of skiing and then to travel on to Switzerland and back up through Bavaria before coming back to Dusseldorf. Unfortunately, at the very last minute we learned there was a problem in obtaining our Chinese Visas. With little more than a 36 hour notice we canceled our vacation & flew back to Texas. Keep in mind we were packing for 10 days of snowskiing & ended up in 85 degree weather in San Antonio! The warm weather was great - but the trip was very rushed & unplanned - making it hard to see everyone. So, if we missed you - we're sorry! We'll catch you in the summer!
With all four Chinese Visas in hand, we headed back to Germany. Just one week later Jaymie flew out to China. He'll get to come back for about 10 days in May, but other than that he's pretty much "outta here". We miss him dreadfully, me even more than the kids. But we talk everyday on Skype with our webcams. He spent Saturday doing some preliminary house checks. It's sounds promising, but all of it is just a little overwhelming....I still can't believe I'm moving to Shanghai. The kids & I will go for the actual house-hunting trip next week. We're all very excited to see our new surroundings! The kids will also get to tour their school. We've found an equestrian center not far from the area we'll be in, so Emma is flipping over that! Just say a little prayer that we find what we're looking for - and soon. I've got summer plans waiting to be made & it all revolves around this trip.
I'll keep you posted (hopefully a little better than the past weeks) as we learn more. Emma has another riding lesson tomorrow - I'll take photos then!
Hugs to all, tschus!

Great to see you're well, and looks as though you don't need Jim's new Chinese wife's assistance, as offered. Take a break now and again, and hope you like warm, green tea-can squat with your buttocks about 2" off the floor when drinking it, can smile and nod your head up-and-down continuously until the conversation is over...and hopefully someone will offer a hand to pull you back up to a standing position, as your legs fell asleep ages ago.
